Qualification/Experience

Tara had her eyes set on the field of nursing from an early age, as she is fascinated by the complexity and beauty of the human body. The Lord led her to Austin, where she attended the University of Texas and played in the Longhorn Band, along with graduating with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She was called into the NICU (newborn intensive care) where she spent several years as a bedside nurse, before conquering a Master of Science in Nursing to become a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, where she faithfully served for over 10 years. Her 4th baby finally took her out of the nursing game, but the call to return to the clinical field has always been strong. She has a heart for those suffering from trauma and mental illness, so she decided to pursue that passion by obtaining an additional specialty in the psychiatric, mental health space. She is expectant in the ways the Lord is going to use her love for human complexity and her compassion for all people in this unique space.

Tara enjoys working with people of all ages and is dual board certified in neonatology and psychiatric mental health. Her other full-time jobs include living a beautifully chaotic life with her husband, wrangling her 4 children, playing with her adorable golden doodle, cooking and enjoying great food and walking through life with her beloved friends and church community.
