MSW, Stephen F. Austin State University, Nacogdoches, TX.

Qualification/Experience

As a Licensed Master Social Worker, Shechinah has worked within the LBTQ+ population serving individuals living with HIV/AIDS. She continues to service the Travis and surrounding counties as a Case Manager Supervisor for medically vulnerable and complex clients. In doing so, Shechinah has been able to work with a diverse group of people who are typically disenfranchised by systemic deficits that create barriers to accessing healthcare and achieving high-quality health outcomes. As she transitions to Behavioral Health, Shechinah hopes to support clients in achieving high-quality outcomes in each domain of life. Though Shechinah has primarily worked with adults, she likes to work with children and adolescents to support them in navigating anxiety, depression, grief, life changes, and emotional regulation. Shechinah uses a client-centered and humanistic approach, recognizing that you are the expert in your life and that your insight is to be highly valued in developing the proper course of treatment. Shechinah continues to serve individuals living with HIV/AIDS and hopes to one day support the development of holistic social infrastructure that seeks to create equitable access to resources for all.
