Qualification/Experience

Pam is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Registered Play Therapist, Registered Nurse, and a Certified Texas Educator. Pam’s proven skills in counseling, nursing, and teaching combine to provide a positive, holistic client experience.

Pam counsels children, adolescents, parents, families, married couples, and individual women. She also has an interest in helping clients navigate emotional concerns related to health issues.

Pam has extensive experience in the public school system working closely with children, adolescents, and parents. She enjoys helping adolescents discover their potential and purpose. She also has counseled many individual women while working at a county women’s center. Pam has counseled married couples for the last several years at a local church.

Pam is experienced working with:

-Stress/Anxiety/Panic attacks, Emotional concerns related to health issues, Depression, Grief/Loss, Substance abuse, Anger management, Self esteem, Eating Disorders/Body Image, Mood related challenges, Trauma

Approach to Therapy: At each client session you will find empathy, respect, and confidentiality. Pam is a good listener and believes in creating a safe and non-judgmental space where clients are validated.

Pam likes to provide tools and teach skills in the counseling session to create a sense of confidence, empowerment, and positive change for all her clients. Some of the therapies Pam incorporates into the counseling session include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, Unconditional Positive Regard, and Internal Family Systems Therapy. Pam offers prayer with the client’s consent.

Personally, Pam and her husband have been married for over 40 years, and have 2 children and 3 grandchildren. They are active members of their church. Pam plays the piano weekly for Bible Study Fellowship. She enjoys cooking, hiking, viewing sunsets, and spending time with family as well as teaching First Aid and CPR certification classes in the community.
