Education

B.A. Political Science & Geography, Texas State University, San Marcos, TX

M.A. Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Denver Seminary, Littleton, CO

Qualification/Experience

After graduating from Texas State University, Lauren moved to Denver Colorado where she received her master’s degree in counseling from Denver Seminary. As most of her career has been working with children and adolescents in various capacities, Lauren has seen the power of early intervention in children and teens, and how that can change the trajectory of an individual’s life for the better. She is passionate about collaborating with families to address any systemic communication, and relational patterns that may hinder recovery for her clients. Lauren primarily works with children, teens, and adult women on issues of depression, anxiety, trauma, identity development, and self-esteem. Additionally, she has worked extensively with refugees in both professional, and non-profit settings and has a passion for serving marginalized groups within Denver, and Austin.

A native Austinite, Lauren enjoys being on the lake, hiking, watching college football (Hook ‘Em), spending quality time with her friends and family, and is on a never-ending quest to find the best iced coffee within the Austin city limits.
