Qualification/Experience

Jerry moved to Texas after retiring from a 30-year military career, where he served as a drug and alcohol program advisor, career counselor, emergency management response team leader, casualty assistance calls officer, and a Navy and Marine Corps Relief Representative, where he assisted and gave financial counseling to hundreds of service members and family members in times of need. His military experience has afforded him the opportunity to work with people from all walks of life. Along with his military background, Jerry has been a personal fitness trainer/coach for over 30 years, working with hundreds of children and adults helping them reach physical and nutritional goals. He has a vast volunteer background that includes coaching powerlifting for the New Zealand Special Olympics, mentoring children at various orphanages and children’s homes abroad (New Zealand & Japan), as well as teaching children and women’s self-defense, just to name a few. Additionally, as a Level-1 CrossFit coach, he has volunteered at numerous events working with adaptive athletes. He believes that the quality of the relationship between therapist and client is key to effective therapy and strives to create a judgment-free safe space that fosters a healthy therapeutic environment.
