Steve is a Licensed Master Social Worker since 2014. His therapeutic approach is rooted in compassion and empathy. He is committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental space for you to share your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without fear of being criticized or misunderstood. He uses a person-centered approach to meet your specific needs and goals and draws from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). Here’s what all the above means: He will strive to build a strong alliance with you, based on trust, respect, and empathy. He is committed to helping you develop self-awareness, insight, and resilience that will empower you to make (and sustain) positive changes in your life. He appreciates the spiritual dimension (faith) of your life and will respectfully work to discover alongside you to find sources of inspiration and search for meaning and purpose in your world.

He was a junior high pastor for 4 years (2000), working alongside tweens and parents during very difficult life transitions and stages. He later served as a pastoral care pastor for 4 years providing emotional and spiritual support during weekly counseling sessions, with adolescents over the age of 13, adults, married couples, and families. He has experience working in a psychiatric facility where he provided crisis intervention for children, adolescents, adults, and families diagnosed with psychological disorders. Steve is experienced working with Anxiety, Depression, Grief/Loss, Self-esteem, Pre-marital Counseling, Issues related to adolescents, Parent-coaching.

Steve is married to an incredible woman who is a nurse and has 3 amazing children (one daughter and two sons). In his spare time, he enjoys woodworking and serves as a worship leader in his local church.
