How do they bring God’s hope to the hurting?

Sydney’s heart for counseling grew out of her years working with families in ministry and foster care & adoption. This is where she witnessed both the depth of human pain and the beauty of healing through connection. She believes that God meets us tenderly in our grief, struggles, and questions, and that therapy can be a sacred space where hope gently takes root.

What are their core values as a therapist?

Sydney values warmth, authenticity, and grace in every therapeutic relationship. She creates a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their stories and emotions with honesty and courage. With adolescents and young adults, she often incorporates humor and fun to build rapport and make therapy engaging. Across all clients, Sydney’s goal is to equip them with practical tools and strategies that empower them to recognize their God-given strengths, heal from past hurts, and grow into the people they are capable of becoming. Her approach blends person-centered care with evidence-based techniques, honoring each person’s story while guiding them toward resilience and lasting change.

Where are they outside of the therapy room?

Outside of sessions, Sydney loves traveling- especially visiting family in Europe, which is a big part of her life. She also enjoys cozy, creative hobbies like discovering new arts projects, reading, and spending time in libraries or local bookstores. Some of her favorite ways to recharge include game nights with friends, catching up with loved ones, relaxing at home, or being on the lake during the summer. For Sydney, meaningful connections and quiet, restorative moments are what truly fill her cup.
