How do they bring God’s hope to the hurting?
As an international therapist with a Japanese and Korean background, Chie understands the deep impact of feeling different, unseen, or disconnected. For much of her life, she longed for a safe space where she could be fully heard and accepted. She found that space in God and in the people who walked alongside her, and now, as a therapist, she strives to be that person for others. Her passion is to bring hope to those who are hurting, to offer a place of safety and understanding, and to walk with people through their unique journeys.
What are their core values as a therapist?
Chie believes that every person has strengths, even in their most challenging moments. Identifying and building on those strengths is the foundation of her work. Trust is another core value—therapy is a partnership, and she focuses on creating a space where clients feel secure and supported. She also recognizes that seeking therapy, especially in a Christian setting, can sometimes feel intimidating. Her goal is always to meet clients where they are, honoring their journey without pressure or judgment. Above all, Chie values authenticity. She doesn’t just say what’s nice or easy—she strives to be honest, present, and real. Whether offering encouragement or discussing difficult truths, she brings her whole self into each session, just as she encourages her clients to do.
Where are they outside of the therapy room?
Chie loves food—especially ethnic cuisine! Her mom once told her she’s at her best when enjoying a great meal, and Chie thinks her mom is right. When she isn’t eating her way through different cultures, you’ll probably find her on a trail, spending time outdoors with her husband and their dogs.
