Qualification/Experience

My counseling journey first began while I was attending the University of Missouri, where I was studying to become a Registered Nurse and leading a community group in my campus ministry. Through my experiences as a student, as a leader pursuing my undergraduate degree, and as a pediatric intensive care nurse, I came to understand that regardless of experience, meaningful relationships are good, sweet gifts from God and are necessary to cope with adversity and find healing. It has been my privilege to support friends, patients, and families, and bear witness to their hardships and celebrations alike, which led me to 9pursue my graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University.

My other experiences involve facilitating small and large processing and discussion groups, athletics coaching, volunteering with medical missions organizations, and foster parenting. Through these experiences, I have learned the importance of creating and maintaining safe places for vulnerable populations, where every voice can be noticed and heard. In my free time, I enjoy sharing time with friends and family, gardening, playing sand volleyball, drinking iced coffees, and going on adventures with my dog.
