Qualification/Experience

Trudy comes from a military family and grew up all over the world. This experience led her to a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and beliefs. Trudy has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience through traveling and being exposed to different people and cultures, as well as her social work education. These unique experiences continue to shape her and guide her practice.

Trudy strives to create a warm and inviting environment where the client feels cared for and heard. Trudy believes in meeting the client where they are and approaches with a strengths-based perspective and encourages clients to bring faith into the therapeutic process. Trudy has experience working with children, teens, and adults. Trudy worked in the education field as a special education instructional assistant before gaining her Master’s in Social Work. Trudy worked with teens in Juvenile Justice Services with Williamson County, and has been trained in Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), as well as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT).   TBRI is a therapeutic modality used specifically for children and adolescents who have experienced traumatic life events. Trudy has experience with crisis intervention and has worked for the Mobile Outreach Team (MOT) of Williamson County. Trudy has a passion for helping our men and women of the military transition back into civilian life and receive the care that they need.

Trudy has been married to an Army Combat Veteran for 30 years and has three children and one grandson. Her stepdaughter and grandson live in Ohio. Trudy’s daughter lives in Austin. Her son is in the Army, 82nd Airborne unit, stationed in North Carolina. Trudy enjoys spending quality time with her family and fur babies. Trudy enjoys traveling, camping, and being in nature.
