Qualification/Experience
Jennifer Hicks has worked in Christian counseling centers for over 25 years. In her counseling, she combines genuine compassion, grace-filled Biblical truths, a solid education and professional experience. She works with all ages (including children, adolescents and adults). Her primary focus is adult women of all ages. Some of her specialty areas include: anxiety & depression; women’s issues; grief; relationships; stress; transitions & stage of life adjustment; & codependency. In her counseling, she especially includes CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) & sees the professional counseling relationship as integral to the process.
Jennifer and her husband are the proud parents of two teenagers (& also consider their dogs an important part of the family). Jennifer grew up as a PK (preacher’s kid), so she also has a special passion for counseling people who work in ministry. That is also part of where her calling to become a counselor came from & is reflected in her love of Jesus & her love of people.
One of her favorite Bible promises is found in Romans 8:39. “Whether we are high above the sky or in the deepest ocean, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
