Qualification/Experience

I grew up in Austin and am excited to be back home! During my time at Trinity, I discovered my passion for working with teens through volunteer ministry work, for psychology, and for studying religion and my faith more deeply. Because of the wonderful professors and mentors I had at Trinity, I decided to pursue my master’s degree in counseling and spent two and half years in Massachusetts. Through my coursework at Assumption and my clinical internship at a community mental health center, I believe I have gained a solid foundation in cognitive behavioral therapy and in working with children, teens, and families. I also value person-centered approaches to therapy and seek to consider all aspects of a person’s identity, including spirituality, into their treatment. I look forward to building on this foundation at the Timothy Center.

In my free time, I enjoy running, riding my bicycle, practicing yoga, plant shopping, gardening, exploring state parks with my dog, drinking coffee and reading a book, and trying new restaurants around Austin with my spouse.

Certifications: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Child and Family Interventions
