Lindsay Thompson, M.A., LPC-Associate Supervised by Liz Lawrence

B.A. in Psychology from Texas A & M

M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas State

Lindsay grew up in Dripping Springs, a small (but growing!) town just outside of Austin. She is the youngest of three girls and spent most of her time helping her parents raise a multitude of animals, including pygmy goats, a miniature horse, chickens, ducks, bunnies, and more!

Lindsay moved to College Station to attend Texas A&M University directly after high school to gain a bachelor of arts in Psychology. While at TAMU, she spent 10 weeks in Japan to complete a Japanese minor, gaining a basic knowledge of Japanese culture and language. After graduating, Lindsay moved to San Marcos to get her Masters in Professional Counseling at Texas State University. While in school, she worked part-time at her hometown church, Dripping Springs United Methodist Church, at their nursery and preschool. Lindsay graduated from Texas State in December 2021, completing her master’s.

Lindsay works with folks from all walks of life, though she is particularly interested in working with teen girls as they experience the difficulties of teenage life. She mixes the practicality of DBT skills with the abstraction of expressive art techniques to help anxiety, depression, unhealthy relationship patterns, and working to process difficult emotions. If you are looking for someone informal and willing to meet you in the awkward and uncomfortable, then she is the therapist for you!

Lindsay currently enjoys playing a variety of Nintendo Switch games, including Animal Crossing and Zelda: Breath of the Wild as well as spending time with her bearded dragon, Ezra.
